This Saturday, February 1st, 2020 we will have our regular naryana seva feeding service opportunities lined up. Bowery Food Service and Riverside Food Service will be the opportunities to serve the needy with a hot meal. Please join the activities in any capacity you can. See below flyer for more details.
 
This Sunday, February 2nd, 2020, our regular SSE Classes will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. At 2:00 PM we will have our regular Bhajans followed by “Shravanam (Listening to the Glory of God)” as part of the ongoing 95th Birthday Sadhana Program. This initiative will comprise of listening to the Divine Nectar (Discourses given by our Swami going back to many decades) and as well as experiences sharing by our center members. This week we will be listening to the Divine Discourse given by Swami on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri in the year 1993 on March 2nd. Please join the Session..

As part of the 95 Sadhana Program, the following is scheduled this Sunday as part of Center activity
1. We will start off with 21 AUMS before bhajans and conclude with 9 SAMASTHA LOKA after bhajans as part of Daily Prayers.
2. We will implement Shravanam (Listening to the Glory of God) sadhana activity.
 
Shravanam (Listening to Glory of God):
Swami says “Listen to all such things as will draw you towards God, then think it over in silence and make it a part of your consciousness, this is what makes Shravanam effective“.
“How do we make it a part of our consciousness? By simply reflecting over His words in silence, which in turn helps our understanding go a little deeper, and by putting His teachings into practice and working towards our spiritual transformation.”
“In summary, when we listen to the glories of the Lord with child-like faith, with attentiveness, with an open mind, with sincere yearning, and we reflect on His words, we finally come to practice what has been heard from the Lord. Then, and only then, the act of listening itself becomes worship of the Lord and the process of SHRAVANAM becomes effective and a form of devotion, leading us to liberation. – Sathya Sai Baba”
