This Sunday, we will start off with Bhajans starting at 10:00 AM , following with “21 Gayatri Chanting” as part of the ongoing 1008 Day Sadhana Program. Afterwards we are happy to have Dr. Stanley Westschler M.D. join us and share his experiences. A short bio about Dr. Stan, as he is no stranger to sai fraternity here in Region 2.
Journey to Sai:
Dr. Stan’s journey to Sai began 2 decades ago. In 1999, he received the unexpected “bad news” that he had terminal cancer and was not destined to survive. Along with his devoted wife, Jayne, who was the catalyst for what would eventually result in a major transformative process, they embarked on a long journey which could only be orchestrated by Swami towards surviving and thriving. Realizing the allopathic model didn’t hold the answers for his healing or recovery, Stan became boarded in Holistic Medicine in addition to incorporating Swami’s teachings concerning “Sai -Medicine” into his every day life.
He had a vision at the beginning of this new chapter in his life, that one day he would devote his time to the service of helping cancer patients find a new path to healing as defined in the holistic model. Now, by embracing and incorporating Swami’s teachings, the backbone for retreats for cancer patients was conceived and finally came to fruition. Baba’s adage, “ Expect the Unexpected” was experienced in miraculous ways by some of the attendees following the retreats. as well as throughout the Wetschler’s new life with Sai.
