Guru Poornima Celebrations
Sathya Sai Baba says “Guru is one who illumines the path to divinity. Poornima stands for the cool full moonlight. Full moon stands for a mind with total illumination and purity. Even if there is a trace of blemish in the mind, it will lead to darkness. It cannot give you total bliss”.
This Sunday, July 25th 2021 Sathya Sai Center of Flushing, NY (affiliated with SSSGC, Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi) will be celebrating Guru Poornima Celebrations. We will meet at 2 PM for our regular Bhajans. We are fortunate to have Br. Mohan Kumar as guest speaker who will share his experiences from 2:30 PM. A short bio about Br. Mohan Kumar..
“Br. MohanI came into Swami’s fold in 1985 while doing his Higher Secondary education in Sathya Sai School at Alike near Mangalore in Karnataka. Joined Swami’s College at Brindavan in 1988 for BSc bioscience and went on to do MSc Bioscience at Prashanthi Nilayam. Later he took up teaching profession and worked in many Biotech companies in Bangalore. He went to Italy in 2006 to pursue his PhD in Cancer Biology and came to San Diego in 2007. He is currently working as a Scientist Reviewer for HIV Diagnostics at the US Food and Drug Administration. He is currently serving as the Education Coordinator in south Bethesda Sai center.“
