Ladies Day Celebration | Dr. Geetha Kamath – Sunday, November 7th 2021 SSSGC Flushing

This year, ladies will come together to celebrate and show their gratitude to Bhagawan by having Bhajans, Devotional Songs, Guest Speaker, and Cultural Programs. The entire session will be handled by Ladies.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Geetha Kamath
We are thankful to Swami to send one of His true messenger of Service Sis. Dr. Geetha Kamath. She is well known for her Service in Sai Medical Teams. She will be our guest speaker for Ladies Day celebrations. A short bio about her.
 

Dr. Geetha Kamath came to Swami’s fold when she was only 10 years old. Swami has played a very big role in her life, whether it is becoming a doctor, her marriage or practice of medicine. She had the privilege of getting direct guidance regarding service activities during her multiple interviews with Swami.

She is a practicing Hematologist and Oncologist in St. Petersburg, Florida since 1981. She participated in yearly Medical Camps during Swami’s birthday celebration in Prashanthi Nilayam, since 1975. For the past 20 years, she has participated in Guru Purnima and Birthday Camps in Prashanthi Nilayam.

She started conducting annual screening camps in St. Petersburg, Florida, starting in 2004. In 2008 she converted the screening camps into treatment camps. The treatment camps included, Dental Hygiene, Dental treatment, Eye and Podiatry Camps. In addition, she participates once a month in a Saturday Medical clinic at the St. Petersburg Free Clinic. 

She received The Frist Humanitarian Award at Northside Hospital and later at St. Petersburg General Hospital both belonging to Hospital Corporation of America. 

She received “Outstanding Volunteer in Healthcare” award by St. Petersburg Free Clinic in May 2010. 

She received the “2010 Team Spirit Award” from Pinellas County Coalition for the Homeless. 

She received the “Sister Margaret Freeman Humanitarian Award” by the Pinellas County Homeless Coalition.

She received “The Community Hero Award” by Tampa Bay Lightning in December 2015. 

The Bay News 9 presented her with “Every Day Heroes” award in August of 2016.

The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Mangalore, India felicitated her with “Ishwaramba Puraskar” Award in November 2016.
