As you know, the Mid-Atlantic Region online celebration of Bhagawan’s 95th birthday is less than a week away on Saturday, November 7th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
We are having an early celebration this year because we wanted to ensure that our members are able to participate in the Birthday Programs planned by the SSIO and our Centers / Groups on or around November 23rd. And, we wanted our region to be the first ones to wish our Beloved Lord 🙂
The morning session will start off with an inspiring talk by Dr. Surendra Upadhyay. Dr. Upadhyay, an ophthalmologist, is well known in the Sai family as a pioneer of International Medical Camps of the SSIO, and has been coordinating SSIO Medical Camps and health awareness seminars all over the world since 1985. His mind-boggling experiences with our beloved Bhagawan are certain to warm our hearts and lift our spirits, a few of which have been documented in Bhagawan’s biography – Sathyam, Shivam, Sundaram.
We will also have a Musical Offering by Bailey Sisters and Bob Becker titled “A Serenade of Gratitude” followed by the talk. The Baileys are well known for their musical talents and they have performed in the Divine Presence of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Bob Becker is a renowned pianist and musician who has been a Sai devotee for over 35 years. He has recorded and produced several Sai music CDs and videos.
In the afternoon, Sai Centers and Groups in our Region will present a video offering of gratitude to our beloved Bhagawan, titled “A Garland of Gratitude”. We will also showcase a few inspiring Service Activities in the Region and the Regional SSE Sadhana Offering for Swami’s 95th Birthday: Articles, poems and other submissions from SSE Gurus and children on the topics “Pathways of Love” and “My Gift to Swami”.
