Swami says “This day has an outer and inner significance, the inner having a greater value for aspirants for spiritual progress.  I do not attach much value for the outer meaning…One’s life must be a perpetual spiritual practice.  Uttarayana is a matter of attitude…when your sight is on Brahman, it is Utarrayana…But for the real Uttarayana, you must make effort, tremendous efforts…The path is straight and hard, but the goal is glorious. It is nothing less than illumination.  When you crave the thought of the Lord and the company of the godly, then you are in Uttarayana.”

We are happy to celebrate this sunday, the Pongal / Sankranthi Satsang with Br. Pradosh Dessai. He is no stranger to many of us in this region. A brief bio about Br. Pradosh is below.

Swami came into Pradosh’s life in mid 90s when he was in Australia. He then started attending Sai Centers in Sydney Australia and continued to attend Sai Centers when he came to the USA in 97 in Detroit and then Washington DC metro.
He has served as a SSE Teacher for about 10 years. In early 2000s he served as the devotional coordinator and later as a Vice President of Fairfax Sai Center. He has been a founding member and Vice President of Falls Church Sai Center and before that he was the founding member and President of Loudoun Sai Center from 2006 to 2009. He has been fortunate to be part of three Parthi Pilgrimages which visited Swami in 2010 and in later years. Currently he is serving as the Regional President for Region 2 of SSSGC USA.

Professionally Pradosh runs his own IT Consulting Company serving Defense Industry and Federal Government.
 

“The purpose of life is to know one’s own self”. Sadhana (Spiritual Practice) helps us to understand the questions,

“Who am I? | From where did I come? | Where am I going to? | How long I will be here? “

1008 days of sadhana program is to practice sadhana. Sadhana (Spritiual Practice) will help us to reach our goal of spiritual realization. Once you start practicing something, eventually that becomes an habit where there is no need for any Sadhana offerings. There is no time limit of 1008 days as this is always a life long Sadhana (Spiritual Practice) that all of us have to follow.
