Sai Ram Dear Regional Presidents,
We are grateful to our dear Swami for coordinating the successful launch of this National Initiative allowing all regions to unite and provide support to the Louisiana communities devastated by last year’s hurricanes. Combining the initial efforts by Region 10 along with the Phase 1 national efforts: over 1300 volunteer hours has been provided by Sai devotees, with over 8500 pounds of supplies provided to thousands of individuals. The following newspaper clippings from the local communities show their appreciation to the SSSIO for their support:
To support our mission to provide a more sustained relief effort, the SSSIO has committed to providing help through the first quarter of 2021 by dividing the supply procurement and distribution into 3 additional Phases based by region.
- Phase 2 will occur in January supported by Regions 1, 2 and 9
- Phase 3 will occur in February supported by Regions 6, 7 and 8
- Phase 4 will occur in March supported by Regions 3, 4, and 5
The NDRT and Region 10 team have been in dialogue with the 6 churches that have been supported in December in the following towns: Lake Charles, Dequincy, Grand Lake Area, and Cameron. They have identified and compiled a list of further supplies that are still needed this month:
THIS WEBSITE contains the list of items needed for Phase 2, taking place in the month of January, that should currently be forwarded only to devotees of Regions 1, 2 and 9. The deadline to place the order for this Phase 2 delivery is January 31, 2021.
