Dear Sai Center Presidents,
 
Please kindly share with your Sai Center members this update on the relief activities taking place in the Bahamas in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. The bulletin also describes ways in which Center members can volunteer and participate in the drive for relief supplies.
We have completed a successful distribution of the first batch of supplies and water filters for the Bahamas; we are now initiating the second batch, effective immediately for fulfillment by members of Region 2 and 6, with a target date of Nov 23rd 2019.

TARGET DATE: NOV 23rd, 2019

Dear Sai Center members,
May this communication find you well by Sai Grace.

Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas on Sep 1, 2019, leaving a trail of complete destruction in its path. By Swami’s Grace, the NDRT was able to finally land in Grand Bahama in late September and establish a local network and assess needs. In early October, the SSIO-USA initiated a national supply drive to address the most pressing needs- water filtration systems and food supplies for families – with a relief supplies drive scheduled in batches across Sai US Regions.
After a successful distribution of the first batch of supplies and water filters from Regions 3 & 4, we are now releasing the second batch for fulfillment by Regions 2 and 6 by Nov 23rd, 2019.

Hurricane Dorian Disaster Relief in the Bahamas

Following the massive destruction on the Bahama Islands by Hurricane Dorian, the US Disaster Relief Team took steps to organize relief efforts. During two trips to the Grand Bahama island, NDRT members delivered more than 2000 pounds of food, donated by SSIO members across the US and portable water filtration systems.   Read More
